Sayedna Silouan visited St Aidan, Manchester to serve the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the second Sunday of Great Lent. The weekend started on Friday evening with the Akathist to the Theotokos. On Saturday 7th March, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan served the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for the Mission of St Oswald. The Liturgy was held in St Elphin's Anglican Church by kind permission of the Rector and the Parish Council. At this service Sayedna Silouan ordained Daniel Moran as a Subdeacon. On Saturday 7th February the first Orthodox Divine Liturgy was served in the ancient church of St Elphin, Warrington by kind permission of the Rector, Church wardens and Parochial Church Council. An amazing 49 people attended which is an excellent beginning for this new mission. Sayedna Silouan, our Metropolitan visited the parish on the Feast of St Andrew. Before the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy he ordained Oswald Taylor as a Subdeacon. Oswald supports our missions in Heywood and Halifax and is an excellent trainer of the younger servers. Here is the link to the photo album:
