The funeral service of Nicholas (Wainman) McNeish took place at St Aidan's on Friday 27th October 2023. Serving with Fr Gregory were Fr Daniel and Fr David (Carnelley), the latter from St Nicholas, Blackley where Nicholas worshipped, along with of course our parish. Andrew and Nigel, Nicholas' nephews, other family and friends, attended the service.
Nicholas was a fine Christian gentleman and it was my great pleasure and privilege to have known him for so long. In later years infirmity rendered him largely housebound., but his faith and love of God never wavered. You are sorely missed Nicholas. God speed your final journey to the bosom of Abraham!
